The Blind Onion Pizza and Pub – sparks, nv (Spanish Springs)

image

Had a great dinner here. Ordered the carnivor pizza with the alfredo pesto sauce instead of the traditional red sauce. It was a very very good combination. The crust is light and braided and tastes great dipped into honey.

A small and quanit place in the heart of downtown Vancouver, WA. Staff was quick abs very helpful. I had the grilled ham and cheese on sourdough with fries. The ham was cooked to perfection and the whole sandwich was great.

Isabel – Portland , Oregon

A very enjoyable breakfast at this very upscale restaurant in downtown Portland. I had the breakfast croissant sandwich with roasted rosemary potatoes. The sandwich was filled with eggs, cream cheese, tomatoes and bacon. The roasted rosemary potatoes were cooked as hash browns and topped with diced tomatoes. Over all I must say that this meal [...]

Homemade brown rice sushi rolls. California roll, smoked salmon avocado, and veggie with carrots cucumber and avocado. This was easily the most difficult meal I have ever made. “Patients is virtue” rings true for this challenge, but well worth it!

I am back at the East Ender, here in downtown Portland, Maine. This trip I brought my co-worker Ray along to enjoy the food. I love how this place makes some of their own ingredients, and sends me little mid-course treats to test out. The staff is great, and very personable, which goes a long [...]

The East Ender – Portland, Maine

image

To be honest, majority of the “sit down” places in Portland are just plain good compared to other places I eat at home. I guess it’s because there are so many restaurants here that you have to serve good food in order to survive. So that brings me to the East Ender. I started with [...]

Chez Allen – Lake Wylie, SC (my Dad’s house)

Happy Fathers Day. We had a lovely dinner of grilled pork loin and roasted fresh veggies out of Dad’s garden. After the plates were cleared away, we played a game of 500 Rummy and had a glass (or 4) of Matthew Fox Cabernet (the Lion King’s brand). Dad won (or so he thinks)…
