Come hungry, be adventurous, and don’t fill up on Diet Coke. Great night out with friends and honestly better with more people than fewer! Surprisingly affordable, too!
We started with French Pear martinis. After I got past the dry champagne on top, I really enjoyed the mildly sweet flavor which was a great complement to my meal.
Next up were the House Made Potato Chips and Dip. Very crispy and thin with a sour cream and onion sort of flavor sprinkled liberally, the chips were delicious if not a little salty. The dip was creamy and had a hint of something sort of “seafoody” about it. Baby shrimp maybe?
The Old School Bakery Baguette was a no brainer for me. Fresh bread with whipped honey butter and preserves that had cherries and blueberries in it…couldn’t go wrong!
Also from the “Snacks” portion of the menu we had the Calamari and the Crispy Korean Wings. I can’t speak for the calamari but the wing I had was mildly sweet and not too spicy. The blue cheese was yummy!
I ordered from “The Lighter Side” next and opted for a Summer Salad which consisted of grilled watermelon, arugula, fresh grapefruit, fennel, and grapefruit zest. The pictures I took did not do it justice!
From the “Beloved” part of the menu, we had Chicken and Waffles, Mac and Cheese, and the Nosh Burger. Each chicken thigh was battered and deep fried and served atop a quarter of a Belgian Waffle and served with the whipped honey butter and Serrano maple syrup. That waffle just may have been the bite of the night!
The Mac and Cheese was creamy and delicious. I would have probably enjoyed it more if we had added the bacon!
I didn’t taste the burger as it was devoured by my friend’s husband in the blink of an eye! LOL
But wait!!! You have to save room for dessert! We sampled the Lollipop Plate which had a Grasshopper, Oreo Cheesecake, and Cookie Dough pop on it. Delicious and not at all what I was expecting!
Also on our table was the Creme Brulee trio of Salted Caramel, Orange Cream, and Blueberry. Sooo creamy and delicious! Salted Caramel was our favorite!
Last but by NO means least was the Chess Tart. Neither the menu description nor the pictures described just how amazing this was. Definitely a must try!
