Cordon Bleu – California St, San Francisco, CA

I love hole-in-the-walls restaurants! These are some of the best kept secrets of amazing food! This place is no exception. Their menu. Their in-your-face kitchen. I normally get their grilled chicken, but I tried their Shish Kebab lunch special with country salad and meat sauce on rice. The shish kebab is good; salad crisp; but [...]

the smoothness from the flan & the spongie-ness of the taro makes this cake worth another bite! xoxo.

Ordered some medium hot wings, a chicken sandwich, and onion straws. Now, if you haven’t tried they’re onion straws, you’re seriously missing out. These super thin onion rings are amazingly great!!

Thank you @LocosColumbus – Columbus, Ga

Roasted wings are WOW.  Dry rub falling off the bone…  will be back for more.

Club sandwich and a big ole pizza! The pasta salad was great and way better than usual.

Jimmy the Greek’s – South Portland, ME

This place opened right across from my hotel, so nothing like a brisk walk to get some dinner! Their menu. I got the 14″ “Tuscan Veggie” brick over pizza, which contains spinach, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil. Cheesy, good crust, and solid!

Chez Allen – Lake Wylie, SC (my Dad’s house)

Happy Fathers Day. We had a lovely dinner of grilled pork loin and roasted fresh veggies out of Dad’s garden. After the plates were cleared away, we played a game of 500 Rummy and had a glass (or 4) of Matthew Fox Cabernet (the Lion King’s brand). Dad won (or so he thinks)…

Lobster Shack Restaurant – Cape Elizabeth, ME

As featured in Man v Food, gotta pay a pilgrimage to this place. Maine lobster freshly caught everyday! Their menu. Their live lobster tanks. Must go all in and put my chips on the Lobster Dinner Plate with biscuits, fries, and coleslaw. The clam chowder was extra. So how did my bet go? Well, of [...]

Harrod’s Deli – London, England

If you are shopper, you gotta go to Harrod’s. This place is world class. Of course you gotta have a world class food court. I went for something simple: Their deli. Their menu. The waitress recommended their salted beef brisket sandwich for the day with coleslaw, pickle spear, and horseradish sauce. Love the way they [...]

The Botanist – London, England

My friend keeps on finding the good places. Gotta have afternoon tea while we were in London! I got the classic Earl Grey tea with “The Botanist Traditional Afternoon Tea” This tea time contained “assorted finger sandwiches (avocado, salmon, and pistachio), homemade scones with Preston Hall (Suffolk) jams, marmalade and Devonshire clotted cream, pistachio cupcake, [...]

The Table – London, England

My friend found a good place for breakfast. He did another good job! Their breakfast menu. I eventually got a glass of orange juice and “The Borough Full English” breakfast with two fried eggs, bacon, pork and leek sausage, smoked baked beans, grilled tomato, Portobello mushroom and sourdough toast. Nice presentation and overall awesome. What [...]
