Another cozy restaurant recommended by locals. I see why!
To start, Portland’s Allagash pale ale (light but flavorful) and bread with oil and pepper. (Bread was ok; better if were toasted or heated a little.)
Roasted local squash, dried cranberries & toasted pinenuts with ginger vinaigrette. Super fresh and well balanced in taste.
Oven roasted market white fish over sherried french lentils & caramelized onions – finished with white anchovy butter and fresh orange zest. When I first received the dish, it did have a fishy smell (from the anchovy) as though it’s like stinky tofu found in Hong Kong. But when you taste it, completely different in a pleasant way. Nothing overpowering. Again balanced. The fish is flaky almost like the haddock. The caramelized onions pulled it all together!

Flourless Chocolate Torte. Love the presentation, and it’s as good as it looks! Very rich, but balanced with the granny smith apple! Nice touch!
Overall great food with great presentation and service! One word: Balanced (with the exception of the Flourless Chocolate Torte ). Definitely gonna try their paella (house/seafood) next time as I overheard many customers ordered them!
